2 March 2012 – The inaugural Forum of Corporate Governance for Chinese Listed Companies, hosted by the Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies (CHKLC) with the full support of Everbright, opened successfully at the Shanghai International Conference Center. Top management and representatives from listed companies in Hong Kong and the Mainland gathered for the first time to share their experiences and exchange views on corporate governance in light of the rapid growth and development of Chinese companies. 

 

Co-organised by the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) and the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), the event welcomed some 400 attendees from the government and listed companies with a host of dignitaries, including Mr. Gui Min Jie, Vice Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission; Ms. Guo Li, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central Government in the HKSAR; Mr. Jiang Jian Qing, President of ICBC Bank; Mr. Ron Arculli, Chairman of HKEx; Mr. Zhang Yu Jun, President of the SSE; and Mr. Sha Hai Lin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. Guests conducted in-depth discussions on various topics, highlighted by keynote speeches delivered by Mr. Charles Li, CEO of HKEx and Mr. Antony Leung, Chairman of Greater China, the Blackstone Group.
