The Chinese Securities Association of Hong Kong was restructured from the former Committee on Securities of The Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association. Following the rapid development of capital markets in mainland China in recent years, more mainland financial institutions have set up office in Hong Kong, which is recognized as an important financial market. Backed by the strength of their parent companies, Chinese securities firms like Everbright are an emerging force in the Hong Kong capital market. In particular, the global financial tsunami has highlighted the resilience and growth potential of Chinese financial institutions in Hong Kong. They play a critical role in supporting the stability and confidence in the local financial market.
With the support of its parent China Everbright Group, Everbright has achieved rapid development in all its business areas. Its membership in The Chinese Securities Association of Hong Kong enables it to contribute to the bridging of financial markets in Hong Kong and mainland China, promotion of Hong Kong as an international financial center, and the internationalization of China’s capital market.
